I've spent my professional career in editorial, specifically focused on books for the trade market. As a freelance editor, I work with independent publishers such as Vine Leaves Press, Diversion, She Writes Press, Post Hill Press, Indigo Rivers Publishing, and others, in addition to working directly with independent authors. I've worked as a bookseller at B&N and reviewed books for Foreword Reviews. 

Outside of my work, I am an avid writer, with short stories publishing in literary journals (for more info, see my publications page). When not writing or editing, I enjoy traveling, upping my recipe game, working with clay/pottery, and going to the gym.
